This is the place to experience
Australian farm life.
The homestead offers lodgings in a 1930 Californian
style brick bungalow set in a large garden with native birds,
swimming pool and synthetic grass tennis court. The living
room has an open fire and rarely used TV....
There is also a recently renovated cottage nearby with one
queen, one double and one single bed,
David's 4WD tour over the property gives an entertaining
insight into Australian agricultural life, an opportunity to see
heaps of kangaroos in the wild and arrangements can be made to
see shearing in action in a local wool shed.
The nearby village of Cassilis has a popultion of only 100,
but it has a National Trust Police Station and an historic
"pub" - fun for a visit before dinner.
