The Bylong General Store has the welcoming
smell of yesteryear. The fragrance of hand made soaps, the gentle
scents of dried herbs and spices and the yummy smell of home made
biscuits, cakes and cookies compliment the historic architecture
and the wooden floors, polished by generations of local customers
and visitors to this pretty village. |
 |
It provides the ideal entry to Wollemi and
Goulburn River National Parks and Munghorn Gap Nature Reserve (a
renowned bird
watching location) , Dunn's Swamp and Ferntree Gully,
The Bicentennial National Trail and the magnificent Thoroughbred
studs of The Upper Hunter. |

The Bylong MOUSE RACES are a spectacular feat
of endurance, strength and speed performed by highly trained furry
