BARRINGTON TOPS NATIONAL PARK

Every visit to Barrington tops involves a scenic drive. With rivers flowing west, south and east from the plateau like spokes of a wheel, the roads follow the river valleys and then switch to the ridge lines as the actual plateau is approached

Getting There - Northern Section
	Barrington Tops Plateau The Barrington Tops Forest Road linking Scone, Gundy, Moonan, Barrington and Gloucester is one of the states finest drives, and provides access to the extensive network of facilities in this section of the park.

Getting There - Eastern Section
	This is the Gloucester River and Gloucester Tops and is reached via the Gloucester Tops Road following the Gloucester River from Gloucester

Getting There - Southern Section
	JERUSALEM CREEK is via Wangat Rd, which branches off the Chichester Dam Rd north of Dungog WILLIAMS RIVER area is via Salisbury Rd north of Dungog BURRAGA SWAMP is reached by forest roads leading through Massey Creek and Chichester State Forests accessed by the Allyn River Rd north from Gresford

Walking Trails - Northern Section Barrington Tops Forest Road
	Honeysuckle Picnic Area - Forest Track 1km loop	A sheltered walk through Antarctic Beech Forest
	Thunderbolt's Lookout track 400m return	A short flat walk to a great escarpment view
	Devils Hole Lookout Track 400m return	Paved walk suitable for wheelchairs to a magnificent lookout platform
	Polblue Swamp Track 2km loop	A stroll around the high country wetlands of Polblue swamp

Walking Trails - Northern Section Barrington Tops Plateau
	Forest Road - Mt Barrington 5hr 16.5km one way	An undulating walk from the Forest Rd to the edge of the plateau's southern escarpment
	Brumlow Creek Track 1.5hr 5km one way	A walk from the Plateau Trail to the Junction Pools
	Edwards Swamp Trail 2hr 7km one way	From the Junction Pools to Carey's Peak, the trail meanders through the high plains at the head of the Barrington River
	Aeroplane Hill Track 1.5hr 5.5km one way	From the Junction Pools to Black Swamp and the Big Hole
	Carey's Peak Trail 2 hr 7km one way	A straightforward walk over the plateau from the end of the Barrington Trail to Carey's Peak

Walking Trails - Eastern Section
	Gloucester River Camping Area - Gloucester River Track 1 hr 2.5km	The track follows the river upstream through diverse and young forest
	Gloucester River Camping Area - Sharpe's Creek Track 3 km return or 4.5km loop	The shorter walk is up Sharpe's Creek The longer loop travels up the hillside and returns by the Gloucester Tops Rd.
	Gloucester Tops Picnic Area - Antarctic Beech Forest Track 20mins 1km or 1.5hr 2.5km loops	These loops wind through stands of the Antarctic Beech
	Gloucester Tops Picnic Area - Gloucester Falls Track 1hr 1.5km	A walk to the Andrew Laurie Lookout and a viewpoint overlooking the Gloucester Falls
	Gloucester Tops Picnic Area - Gloucester River Track 1 hr 2.5km loop	The walk follows the upper plateau sections of the Gloucester River
	Gloucester Tops - Barrington Tops Link Track 5-6hr 17km one way	A connecting walk between the Gloucester Top0s and the Barrington Tops sections of the park
	Gloucester Tops - Mt. Paterson Trail	A connecting walk south along the ridgeline and down to Chichester Rd

Walking Trails - Southern Section
	Williams River Picnic Ground- Blue Gum Loop Track 1.5hr 3.5km	A relaxed walk that explores regenerating riverside forests. Wheel chair accessible for first section to the bridge
	Williams River Picnic Ground - Rocky Crossing Track 5 hrs 16km	The extended more challenging version of the Blue Gum Loop through varied river environments and sub-tropical rainforest
	The Corker Trail - Lagoon Pinch Picnic Area to Careys Peak 10 hrs 20km return	A long steep climb from the lagoon Pinch to the Barrington Tops Plateau. It is a connecting link to other tracks on the plateau and is the start of the "Tops to the Myalls" Heritage Trail
	Jerusalem Creek Track 1 hr 2km return	A lovely stroll from the Jeruselum Picnic Ground
	Mt Allyn - Burga Swamp Track 1 hr 2km return	A pleasant walk from the Mt Allyn Forest Rd to the Burga Swamp - an unusual geological feature
